Tom grew up in Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University in 1980 and from Western Michigan Cooley School of Law in 1984. He moved to Gainesville Florida and became a member of The Florida Bar in 1984. Tom has called Gainesville his home ever since, raising 2 children and now a proud grandfather of two adorable girls.
Starting his career as a legal services attorney, Tom also worked as an Assistant State Attorney and Assistant Public Defender before entering private practice in 1998. Five years later, Tom successful ran for County Court Judge and took the bench in 2004, serving the public for 20 years before retiring in 2024.
During his career as an attorney and judge, Tom participated in many jury trials. He has a vast array of experience in the courtroom. Tom has the compassion and dedication to assist injured clients during their time of critical need.
An enthusiast of the outdoors, Tom enjoys both inshore and offshore fishing, pickle ball, trail hiking, kayaking and spending time with his family.
